FreshValue ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with UK data protection law (including the UK GDPR).
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you register for and use the Platform:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (stored securely hashed, never in plain text), and optionally gender and date of birth.
- Delivery information: delivery address(es), including address lines, city, county and postcode, used to fulfil your orders.
- Location information: with your permission, we use approximate or precise device location to help you find your delivery area, verify serviceable postcodes, and pre-fill your delivery address. You can decline location access and enter your address manually instead.
- Order and payment information: your order history, items purchased, and payment status. Card payments are processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe; FreshValue does not receive, see or store your full card number, expiry date or CVC.
- Profile photo: if you choose to upload a profile picture, it is stored to personalise your account.
- Referral and rewards information: referral codes used or shared, and reward points earned or redeemed.
- Device and technical information: basic device information (such as device model and OS version) used for fraud prevention, troubleshooting and security purposes.
- Customer support communications: records of any support requests or, where applicable, telephone order recordings (used for quality assurance, fraud prevention and dispute resolution, as described in our Terms & Conditions).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders.
- To process payments securely via Stripe.
- To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
- To operate our referral and rewards programme.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud or abuse of the Platform.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (including tax and accounting requirements).
- To improve and maintain the security and reliability of the Platform.
3. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where necessary with:
- Stripe, our payment processor, to securely process card payments.
- Mapping and address-lookup providers, to verify delivery postcodes and locate addresses.
- Delivery personnel, limited to the delivery address and contact details necessary to complete your delivery.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
- Regulators or law enforcement, where required by law.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where required for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 6).
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, and restricted access to personal data. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe under its own PCI-DSS compliant systems and never pass through or are stored on FreshValue's servers.
6. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format.

7. Children
The Platform is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under the age of 18, consistent with our Terms & Conditions.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
